Joel and Ruth Miller

Joel first began developing a passion to live and work among the Spanish speaking people in the sixth grade when studying the culture and people. That dream became a reality as he joined a team doing hurricane relief in the country of Puerto Rico. After his stay there, the call of God continued to sound in his heart. While on a trip to visit his brother in Germany, he finally answered the call God had on his life and shortly afterward enrolled in the RAD program, a mission internship program with Great Lakes Discipleship Center in New Haven, Indiana. Joel, along with his RAD team served January through August 2002 with Dayspring Outreach. He returned to Dayspring, the following two years, as a team leader over two more RAD teams. In September of 2004 he joined Dayspring Outreach Ministries as a full time field missionary working in the mountain areas of Dr. Arroyo and serving as outreach director for Dayspring's 2005 MPAC team. Joel and Ruth are now directors of the DMT missionary training program in La Haciendita where they now make their home.

Ruth grew up in the village of La Haciendita as a pastor's daughter of one of Dayspring's churches. She attended the DMT training program in 2007 and Joel and her were married in September of 2009.
