OK, here it is. This is the last post here for the DMT class of 2016 and it covers DMT Summer Weeks 10-11. Week 10 was the week of July 30 – August 5. We had no mission team for that week. We spent the week cleaning up the facility in Doctor Arroyo and getting ready to head south to the tropics for week 11. We attended the usual church services and things, but we didn’t get very many pictures. I threw in the pictures that we did get and you can see them at DMT Summer Photos, Week 10.

Week 11 was the week of August 5 – 13 and we had a mission team from Niles, Michigan come all the way down to Casa Dayspring (The Dayspring Orphanage) in Veracruz. I took all our staff, students and summer staff down south to Nelly’s house in Tancuiche, San Luis Potosi (which is about 5 miles from the orphanage) on Friday and they all set up hammocks and slept there all week. That same day Roger brought down the Michigan team. Roger and I stayed in a hotel in El Higo, Veracruz with the Michigan team. Elda and the kids went to Platon Sanchez and stayed there for most of the week. We spent the week doing kids’ services in villages around that area and getting to know the orphanage kids. We had a concrete work project one day at the construction site where we’re currently building a new orphanage facility. You can see pictures from week 11 at DMT Summer Photos, Week 11.

On Friday, August 12 Roger & Eric headed back to Texas with the Michigan team and our American DMT students. Elda & I left the same day, going the opposite direction to take all the Mexican DMT students & staff home. On Saturday we made it back to Pastor Pascual’s house in Oaxaca, where we left the last of them. So, that’s it. It was a great year and we have several of the students planning to come back and work on the mission field. We’re all excited to see what the future holds, we have several new ministry areas and a lot of options for them to choose from. We are already looking for students for next year’s DMT Program. Right now I have 7 Mexican students for next year, but only 1 or 2 Americans. The American students’ tuition pays for themselves, plus one Mexican, so we need more Americans in order for all 7 Mexicans to be able to attend. We appreciate y’all’s prayers about this and if you know anyone that might be interested, feel free to tell them to contact Roger or I. Thank you all for following us here. We will put this blog on pause until we fire it back up for the class of 2017 next January.

Thanks and God Bless
